Accumulating the experience of making more effective the whole process of the medicine received through humanitarian aid in recent years, we’ll launch to amend the decision of the Government, having more distinct regulations: on July 6, at the NA extraordinary session the RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, presenting the amendments being proposed to the law on Medicine, which are aimed at filling in the gap existing in the law.

According to those amendments, orders of receiving medicine, formation, receiving counting and distribution on behalf of the RA Ministry of Health as a humanitarian aid were set.

As the deputy Sona Ghazaryan observed, the importance of the issue was felt during the war, when a number of philanthropists tried to help the Republic of Armenia with medicine, and questions arose on the order.

According to Anahit Avanesyan, during the pandemic and war the executive body prepared a guidebook in order the philanthropists will have an opportunity to get brief information how to organize the transfer of the humanitarian support to the Republic of Armenia. The existing gaps were summed up, and by the adoption of the legislative initiative, with the elaborated amendments the problems will be addressed more correctly and the processes will be facilitated. After making amendments by the decision of the Government the guidebooks will be changed and information campaign will be carried out.

The member of the Standing Committee on Health Care Emma Palyan informed that the draft will be endorsed at the Head Committee.
